I assume you're talking about the QEUH in Glasgow, Velvet.
Don't want to go into the details, but a relative of mine was in there recovering from an infection recently, only to then catch norovirus.
You have my sympathies, and I hope your uncle gets better PDQ.
Not saying this as a defense of QEUH but as far as Norovirus is concerned it is prevalent in the wider community and therefore is difficult to prevent it from being spread from visitors to patients.

Understood, but the problem at QEUH appears to be controlling outbreaks once they start. It was already doing the rounds when my relative caught it (no visitors at that point). Also remember that QEUH is specifically for acute patients, and they're kept in single rooms...
