Thought you may be interested in a fellow Scot who has a statue in Sheffield Cathedral grounds.

You are charged with going round Sheffield and photographing, then posting, all the places that are named after/for or commemorating him. If I ever go to Irvine I'll keep an eye open, but there might not be anything to see anymore.
James Montgomery (4 November 1771 â 30 April 1854) was a Scottish-born poet, hymn writer and editor. He was concerned with humanitarian causes such as the abolition of slavery and of exploitation of child chimney sweeps.
82 years of age - that's pretty good for the time period.

Ooh, exciting. I see from the Darnies you have already looked at a couple of properties. What sort of car do you fancy?

I'm looking for economical, low insurance and VED tax, as high residuals as possible and reliable. Most likely a city car as I don't drive much out of the city.
Will be something like a Hyundai, VW UP! or a Toyota of some kind.

Good luck with finding something you like.
Is the house purchase to live in or rent out?
