A lorry driver who piled into several stationary vehicles, killing 4 members of the same family and injuring several others is jailed for ten years.
10 years!!!!!!!!! Is this a joke? Only 10 years......for causing the deaths of 4 people?!!

Surely they missed off a '0' ????
How can you get so little time for doing some much damage both physically and mentally?
What were the curcumstances fluffy?
The lorry driver was using his mobile phone to select music, apparently and not watching the road. His cab cam shows this. Also he was driving around 50 mph.
OMG! That is one of my real world hates, people on their mobiles whilst driving. I was waiting for a bus tonight, only 10 mins and I counted at least 12 cars where the driver was either holding their mobile in one hand and driving or using an electronic cigarette and driving.
New updates to the law have just come in with stiffer penalties and no one seems to care
They should appeal the sentence. He should serve at least 40 years.
*angry symbol*
Just watched the in cab footage. Stupidity beyond belief.
Yes,
What's worse is that he had just recently signed a document to say he WOULDN'T use a mobile whilst driving!!!!
This video was released by Thames Valley Police today. There is a warning that it is distressing. It also includes the lorry driver's cab cam which continues for a couple of seconds after the BBC's version ends so shows the crash.
It's to serve as a strong warning to all those who use phones while driving - DON'T
