Isn't it amazing how much they're promoting it with ads/clips/infomercials since Bake Off went to C4. I don't remember them doing this when they lost F1 or the golf

They used to have a montage of all the sports that they show. Now they have edited it to show only the sports they have left.
It's a lot shorter.
The first thing I noticed was the F1 removed.

Advertising the BBC, they could hardly advertise Bake Off

What are we paying our money for peeps!
I'm guessing it's some highly paid and rubbish presenters. That's why I kind of agree with salaries being publicly known

I quite like the Beeb .....and watch quite a lot of programmes
Sprout, I was quoting this.
I've given up on the news and any impartiality it had after Scotland and now what is happening at present... The amount of things the government have got through without a whiff is disgusting for a publicly owned company and I say the with tongue firmly in cheek

I channel hop a lot, and if I land on the BBC, then so be it. I haven't got an allegiance either way
I'd happily pay my TV licence for the sight of a topless Aidan Turner in Poldark alone! Long live the BBC!

I know but I just wanted to quote in my own way

Yeah, you can rely on these two to take the tone down

Quite clearly you haven't watched Poldark then
It's all getting a bit unfortunate for the BBC and NHS.
In principle the idea that the state or ourselves own and finance them is a sound one. In effect everyone pays a cheap subscription for the BBC and receives excellent R1-6 and BBC 1-4 local radio and a few other bits n' bobs. No-one else can do it for that price.
However business people see this as a weakness, they need to see how much people would pay. There is a huge scope for added value. It's difficult for them to attack the quality so they come up with nonsense like salaries or my own favourite, "I don't watch so why should I pay?" (See also NHS! "I'm never ill so why should I pay!) Murdoch hates our British way of life!

Agree GJ
One reason why I go out of my way not to put any money in his or his organization's pockets.
I also think it's one reason why we lost BBC Three from out TV's and F1. I'm sure the BBC could have worked to keep the two of them without the external pressures.
