took little girl to vets 4 days ago, got pain killers for her leg-its a sprain vet said, ive carried the little girl upto bed everynight cos she cant do the stairs

ive been out for 40mins to pub for a quick one, left them on their own

shes yelping when i come back, her tail is all crooked, like shes broke it

i mean FFS

Lord knows what shes done

she limping & yelping

i swear if dogs had social services id be in the nick

a few yrs back-i let them into the garden,she ran back in with her front fang nearly ripped out!

not long ago the eldest one ran outside really fast & ripped his claw in half

costing me a fortune

 Is there an out of hours vets you could take her to and get her checked out, Pirate?

yeah im a bit daft about my greyhounds,mystified how the youngest gets injured!

and i tell ya carrying her up the stairs, shes tiny but heavy

the vet thought she was a whippet

no she didnt think of herself as a whippet

i mean my youngest-she's really small,

she's on the small sofa,watching scooby doo, wrapped up & ive ordered them burger & chips

im waiting on being paid

owed a bit

i never keep money in the house after we got robbed a few yrs back

so i'm waiting for the cash

and  never put money in the bank-as i dont trust the banks-its safer under the mattress

anyway liittle girl is wrapped up

 That reminds me of a friend of my eldest son's. He's an accountant and son asked him where the safest place was to keep his money, and he replied "under your mattress!".

she HAS got broken tail

its also got a wound on it which she keeps licking

theyve sent her home with painkillers, anti-biotics & the cone of shame, so she cant lick broken tail

she still cant get up the stairs & i have to carry her

i need an oxygen mask by the time i get to the top

Aww, I hope her tail heals quickly and she can get rid of her lampshade.

so she's rattling with pills

vet stared at me asking what happened

if it was a child she woulda called social services or cops!

in our old house we called her 'steve mcqueen' cos she was always trying to escape

many a night with a torch ive trod through sh!t & mud to find her

in the end we built a fence so she couldnt get out

she always came back

she's knocking on now & shes hurti tuck her up with her blanket (if she wont try to get upstairs)

put the cartoon channel on for her

if im honest ive slept downstairs for nights apart from the night i carried her upstairs

she's my little girl

she'll be reet

we took her to vets appointment today, we told her that mint still cant walk properly, even after the painkillers, vet said mint looks worse, so she booked her in for in the morning for x-ray

she reckons the little girl might have a tumour in her leg

also, we didnt realise little girl hadnt been chipped, cos retired greyhounds usually are

vet said we can get her chipped tomorrow, or we might not need to bother...

i went a bit ballistic at her for saying that

sometimes vets/docs treat animals/people like they are on a conveyer belt

they dont bloody realise that you might be in a complete state of panic

Awwww pirate I know it's worrying , but hopefully it will just be a benign cyst .
