At work we have been running it on a couple of examination workstations now for about two months. So far it seems stable and the feedback I'm getting is that it's not bad at all. None of the computers are connected to the Internet so there is no interaction and updates have to be downloaded.
I will still give it a couple of months before upgrading my home PC.
I'm on 8.1 at the minute and it's fine for me. Obviously if I don't want to pay I'll have to upgrade in July and then I'm thinking just wait until I need a new pooter and buy with it already in. I was looking up when the support stops for 8.1. Got a few years left yet then

How do you mean Donks? Pay?
Ah no, it's free up until July and then you have to pay if you want to upgrade or like I say just buy a new computer with it already loaded

That's your perogative.
And anyway I'm sure I've seen something in print to say 8 and 8.1 watch what you're upto too, although probably not to the extent of 10. but a lot of it can be turned off.
The thing I'm not going to like about 10 is having updates forced on you
It installed itself and I haven't noticed a huge difference? Ummm I'm not very techy though, so I wouldn't notice

Plus, you may have to pay in future, this is the last Windows and Microsoft haven't been totally honest about keeping this software up to date

What's the score then Sprout, whatcha gonna do?
Stick or twist?
I had to uninstall a certain update on Thursday, otherwise it would automatically install it on March whatever (can't remember what the date was)...needless to say it was off my computer quick sharp

I really don't know EC. By what I read in my pooter magazine..there's still bugs in it
I obviously can't afford a new pooter, and besides this one's too new anyway even though it's about three years old. It's whether I want to upgrade in July for free or wait

If you intend to upgrade two very easy and cheap ways are to add an SSD and increase your system memory (if you haven't already). You could extend the life of your computer by a couple of years.

Did you want it?
Doesn't matter I have it now. I did sign up so I must have thought I might at some point
Still no.
XP for Mrs Jer and the slightly superior 7 for me.

it upgrades automatically Jen if you don;t remove the KB3035583 update, the kids would have only had to switch it on if the date to install it was up
