Well let's just say it was far from the best ! How is your mum today ?
I've enjoyed following the thread. I didn't watch the prog after the first week, but when I decided to have a look on Thursday I turned off after 10 minutes because I couldn't stand the constant foul language. I didn't thnk I was a prude, but ...... You guys have been heroic watching for us wusses.
The other thing I noticed was that no-one seemed capable of speaking properly. On the opening night it seemed to me that the only ones able to speak properly, enunciate their words, and have a rudimentary grasp of English grammar, were the foreigners. Watching again on Thursday just confirmed this.
So, thanks a lot guys I'll miss tuning in before I go to bed to see what was happening. I must drop in more often, you're a great bunch.
Very emotional and fragile even though she eating very well.
Still forgetful but she gets like that when she's emotional
Her hair has thinned and she looks exhausted but the operation was a success and once they treat the blood clot on her lung and keep an eye on her leg there is no reason why she can't come home and do well.
She is forgetful but otherwise she's quite bright - none of the glazed, staring into space anymore

Awww well she's obviously getting there Renton ...albeit slowly ...and hopefully she will be home with you again soon
Hello Saint,
Forgive me for butting in, but I've been following your posts about your mother while reading the CBB thread. It sounds as if things are on the up now and I'm pleased for you, it must be so worrying. You really have a bucketfull at the moment. All I can say is stay positive, which you seem to be doing. You have everyone's sympathy.
Thank you for your concern
She went into hospital in a fragile state so its no surprise its taking time for any recovery.
Promised when she gets home we're going out every day on trips out and about ... something to look forward to
Watch you don't tire her out now, or she'll be wanting to go back to hospital for a rest!
she loves little jaunts and wants to buy a new car ... and I love driving - perfect.
Longing for peace of mind and the quiet life

I can imagine Renton....you must be worn out How is your sister doing ?
My sister thought she was going into theatre for a stoma to be fitted but woke to find several tubes in her abdomen to try and drain cysts and avoid a major operation.
So far it seems to be working - it needs to cos if it doesn't she will have to have a stoma for the rest of her life.
She is devastated
. . . and I've just learned my brother is a secret alcoholic - you couldn't make this up
Oh and believe it or not ... my Dad goes into hospital next week to undergo tests for suspected bowel cancer.
2016 has been dreadful
Renton, you could write your own soap opera
My parents both died of cancer, but 20 years on I came out the other side and I'm fine now. Medicine has moved on a lot.
I can only say that I'm thinking of you.
Tbh I can't take most of this in
I'm concentrating on my Mum as she has the greater need

Omg ....you must be totally frazzled by it all Renton ....but hopefully your dad's test will prove negative
My Dad has been living with prostate cancer for years then recently told me he's been having 'trouble with his bowels'. He visited the doctor who said he wasn't happy and wanted my Dad to go for further tests.
Sigh.
Fingers crossed it is nothing serious
. . . and then there's me - waiting patiently in line for my turn
