Watching 'Tricks of the Restaurant Trade' and they have just done a piece on 'Up Selling' like it's something we the viewer are completely unaware of.
It's not just restaurants that do it, WHSmiths are terrible at it, Nero's do it all the time.

Ah, even though I knew about the practice of being seated near the window I was a little surprised they do it on how attractive you are.
A little experiment they just performed highlighted it perfectly.
Remember - when you go eat in a restaurant, insist on the table you fancy and don't let them stick you anywhere.
I'm presuming if you are seated near the toilet then... well it tells it's own story!

I think so Yogi, I love programmes like this, makes me think we have gained a lot with technology, but, we have LOST such a LOT that was worth saving.

When I last dined at Scott's I was actually seated in the toilet. Now, I'm a handsome chap by anyone's standards but made the fatal mistake of not putting a Kelvinside/Morningside accent on.
