My mad dash to HMV to pick up some SALE bargains.

I have managed to get the Simple Minds box set of Once Upon a Time and the eighth series on Big Bang Theory on blu-ray.

Spotted a few more items, but they have plenty of stock so will be going back in tomorrow to pick up the latest New Order album at £4.99 and possibly some vinyl and the latest Dave Gilmore album box set.

*very, very happy smiley face*

Remember! It's never over until January 1st. We are safely back home. Driving my Mum home was a rather stressful event and I wasn't sure whether we would return OK! I have never seen such conditions in all my life. The water was coming off the fields at a ridiculous rate and all the becks were over the top. We don't normally have it so bad so I can only imagine what it's like for people further down the Vale of York.

See now, this thread is confusing me......It is not  ALLOVER 'til the 6th, and it doesn't start 'til the 1st, whatever you are talking about...........IMO of course.....

Anyway......

HAPPY NEW YEAR! when it arrives, and keep on keeping  on enjoying your MERRY CHRISTMAS....xxx

Syd, you seem to have missed the whole point, this thread is not at all what the title may suggest. It is however a comment on my annual Boxing Day visit to the great HMV sale.

But as far as Xmas is concerned, post 26th is back to normal for me, not that I changed much anyway! According to QI you can keep up your decorations until Feb if you so wish.

I can't bear the sales ... I always feel totally shopped out by Christmas. However, yesterday mum and I decided to walk back from the theatre to the car via M&S food hall. They were selling off the last of their turkeys ... a £25 turkey for £2!!

We can't face eating it yet, so I've chopped it into portions and frozen it!

I hate them too Rexi and in fact tend to target the things I actually want. Today I have seen some ridiculously cheap prices for wrapping paper, cards and crackers. Now to me it would make sense grabbing them now as for a few quid you can have a lot of the bits and bobs you need for next year.
