New ITV 10 part series starting on Sunday 25 October at 6.30 pm.

Written by Charlie Higson. Stars Tom Bateman as Jekyll and Hyde and Richard E Grant as Sir Roger Bulstrode.

The grandson of the infamous Dr Jekyll returns to London from Ceylon in the 1930s when he receives an inheritance. As he delves into his family's mysterious past, he does not realise he is being pursued by members of a secret society.

At the heart of the drama is Robert Jekyll’s quest to discover his real identity, his true family history and the nature of his ‘curse’. Jekyll transforms into superhero Hyde in moments of extreme anger, stress and when his or the lives of others are threatened.

6:30 pm. Sounds like it may be made for a more general family audience. That may mean the production is less adult orientated . Be interesting to see how it's done. J&H seems to not have been done of late.

I agree with you. I think it may be be aimed at those who like(d) Merlin, Atlantis, Doctor Who. Primeval type of show.

Jack Kirby (co-created the Hulk with Stan Lee) said that he was partially inspired to create the Hulk by hearing of a woman who rescued a child trapped under a car by lifting the car, so a direct reference in Jekyll and Hyde to that.
