Stephen Fry is to step down as the host of BBC Two comedy quiz show QI after 13 years.
The presenter said it was "one of the best jobs on television" but felt "it was time to move on".
He will be replaced by Sandi Toksvig, who called it her "dream job". She stood down as chair of BBC Radio Four's The News Quiz earlier this year after a 10-year run.
Alan Davies will remain as resident panellist.

Even though I like Sandi, this is not good news.
I like Stephen Fry but of late he seems to overemphasise his explanations to the point of 
which is somewhat annoying to me but then that's probably me just being overcritical I guess 
I've gone off him slightly too Moonie, more for his ubiquitousness though.

Was gutted when I heard this. . 
I liked the rapport between him and Alan Davies and I can't see him and Sandy Toksvig having the same. I also liked his experiments too and his seemingly endless knowledge about all sorts.
I like Sandy Toksvig, she is witty and intelligent too but, QI will never be quite the same. ..
Having said that some of my favourite panellists have not featured much of late and a newer set have been on who aren't quite as funny as the other lot.. even watching QI XL lacked the amount of humour and crying laughing moments it used to have . .and it was the only programme that was guaranteed to make me really laugh out loud

Marvellous stuff - subject Germany (Don't mention the war), good panel and Rob Brydon is in excellent form.

I don't watch QI ....but still miss Sandi on the News Quiz

Rob Brydon is the best suggestion I've heard so far I'd actually want to tune in with him presenting 
Could see him working well with Alan Davies too.
We haven't really taken much interest recently! It's probably time to develop something different.

I had not considered that. It would be interesting to see if any of the elves have presenting skills to add to their knowledge skills.
