After all these years of telling us how healthy people who had a high amount of rice in their diets were, we are now being told that if you have more than three helpings of rice a week you stand a good chance of 'Death by Arsenic'.

How it works:

Rice is grown on flood plains. The wattre that accumulates on these flood plains has washed a high degree of arsenic onto the plains. The rice growing in the 'arsenic water' absorbs some of this arsenic. People then eat the 'arsenic rice' and absorb the arsenic. If you eat too much 'arsenic rice' too quickly then the arsenic builds up in the body and we snuff-it due to Arsenic poisoning!

I wouldn't be too surprised to hear, in due course, of something else which will kill us long before the arsenic does!

Killer bananas, eh?  Doesn't surprise me.  Never did trust 'em.  Insidious, murdering little buggers
