Yes, since the re-boot, Ecclestone, but of the longer Doctors Tennant would take it for me.

Enthusiastic Contrafibularities

John Pertwee was my 'first' Doctor, Tom Baker was my favourite from the pre revival docs.      David Tennant has to be my favourite of the new ones - his Doctor and Rose will forever be my favourite partnership, even though i've liked all the other Doctors, and liked Amy.

i think Sylvester McCoy is probably the only Doctor I've really hated.

I used to think that for years but after seeing episodes with him in on the Horror channel I no longer agree.  I expect it was a case of rose-tinted spectacles.

I can't really say that any of the recent incarnations have not been good.  I think they've all been good in their own way but that's down to the scripts that are usually better than in the original lot.

I do like Peter Capaladi in the role and I much prefer Clara as a witty companion rather than carrying a torch for the doctor, which has become a tiresome trope in the new series.  She's much improved and IMO, gone from the worst companion in the new era to one of the best.
