Anybody else tune in to this last night?

Martin Beck is a Swedish detective from a series of books written in the 1960's (I think). He was recently played by Steven Mackintosh in a set of plays on Radio 4 and jolly good it was, too.

This latest effort is in Swedish (with subtitles) and is somewhat darker, plot-wise, than I remember and is set in the present day.  A warning for the faint-hearted who are thinking of watching it on catch-up; there are a couple of 'watching through the fingers' moments.  It's not a serial but a set of 90 minute-ish dramas.

All this and a curmudgeonly Swedish detective thrown in.  What's not to love?

I think so, Roger.  There's not much to speak of in the way of blood and gore but several people meet a rather unpleasant end at the hands of a serial killer.

Ta Madame  Oooh I like a bit of Scandi darkness
