Britain's Jo Konta extended her winning streak to 14 matches as she beat American wildcard Louisa Chirico in the US Open first round.
Konta, who came through three rounds of qualifying, won 6-3 6-0 in New York.
The 24-year-old will next play Spanish ninth seed Garbina Muguruza or Germany's Carina Wotthoeft.
Fellow Britons Laura Robson, Aljaz Bedene and James Ward also play on Tuesday, before Andy Murray meets Nick Kyrgios in the night session.
Konta, who was born in Australia before switching allegiance to Britain in 2012, has climbed to 97th in the world after her recent run.
She has not been beaten since losing to fourth-seed Maria Sharapova in the first round at Wimbledon in June.
