No fracking in Scotland - for now anyway!

The majority of sinkholes are as a result of deep mining.

An article I read a few years ago basically said that most of America is on the brink of disappearing into a giant sink hole caused by extensive mining.

You can't drill in the north of Scotland,mountains  granite etc.Central Scotland that's  where the old coal fields were.We had deep drilling machines in  my garden front and back a few years ago ,large bleeding machines that weighed tons.They were infilling deep underground.Glasgow and the central belt provided huge amounts of coal for Scotland  and the UK,in the industrial times..
