Got all excited then.....but mine doesn't give the option anymore..unless I am just not seeing it 

Well so much for that!
I just happened to need my DVD drawer and discovered Windows 10 did not recognise it. I wasted yesterday afternoon trying all sorts of recommended stuff and eventually decided to roll back to seven.
After a few other operations I had repeatedly the blue screen of death. I tried everything.
Thus I had to load up my spare, and newer PC. So far so good but I was unable to load all my music into iTunes.
I'll have a go tomorrow. So glad I backed up photos and music though. Tomorrow I'll nip to Maplins and get a new motherboard and hard disc. Time to rebuild a new spare!
As Mrs Jer has stuck with XP I shall stick with 7!

 

Yes, I shall stick with 7 for a while yet. I will however install a copy of Windows 10 on my iMac using bootcamp, just to play with it a bit.

 

Hope you get everything sorted GJ, can be a pain. Well done on backing up, I know too many who don't and regret it.

Though you have to buy new at times,my electric lawnmower buggered up today,.It was a JCB model,bought it 11 years ago,never seen them since in the shops etc.I can't complain it did well.Ordered a new Qualcast one for £44.00 from Argos.

one of the small businesses I deal with at work has no computer at the moment - after installing Windows 10 their email won't work.   I'll continue to ignore the prompt telling me I should download it thanks.

You can download the Windows 10 installation files and create an installation USB stick. Therefore saving the files for a later installation when you feel more comfortable that the O/S has become stable.

 

I'm definitely going to stick with W7. It should see me out.

I have only just managed to load up my iTunes library (including my own personal stuff as well as official downloads)
The most annoying thing was finding little support after W10 messed up my PC. I've had to spend the best part of 14 hours loading up my spare and will now have to spend a lot of sponds on new components.
