Maybe... I'm starting to think it must be in my head Baz

I went to put a load in the dryer tonight (it's in my bedroom through a really tiny kitchen housing a mahoosive fridge) and when i opened the dryer i was hit by a smell that nearly made me ..... Turns out my little one had an accident on her fav blanket... rinsed in the bathroom sink and threw it into my dryer!! It was sooo nasty and dripping... So i chucked it into the bath while i cleaned the dryer (FUN!) annnnyyywaaaayy........... The point of this nasty story is i had to bleach the bath, once I'd finished the dryer yet i can  STILL smell oinions on my friggin hands! Is that even possible?

Or perhaps rubbing some parsley on your hands?  I've forgotten originally what I was told to use parsley for but I know it was for something stinky.

Next time, you might be better to put a moisturiser on before chopping, Jen - it'd be a barrier to the oils seeping into your skin.

I might try that Cosi... the moisturiser... I think the parsley could be for garlic? Dunno why i think that but it makes sense in my head

Rubbing your hands on steel helps get rid of onion and garlic smells bu,t if you can still smell it after loads of hand washing it is likely that some of the onion oil has got up your nose and it is from there you are smelling it not your hands..

Shove a mint or menthal lip salve up your nose to get rid of any residual onion oil up there or sniff some water and blow hard
