BBC article today about a recent patch to Flash Player from Adobe that many people are not aware of so their computers may still be at risk.

The updated version is version 18.0.0.194
To check which version you have on Windows 7, open control panel, select Flash Player and it's shown on the Updates tab.
On my computer it shows that there are 3 possible versions of Flash Player.
ActiveX - that's used by Internet Explorer but also by other browsers for some functions
NPAPI Plug in - that's used by browsers other than Internet Explorer
PPAPI Plug in - not installed (looks as if that may be for Chrome)
To update your Flash player use the link shown at the end of the BBC article. You may need to do it for your usual browser and again for Internet Explorer as the updating process only does it for the version appropriate for your browser. I usually use Firefox and I got an alert last week about a new version of Flash Player and the NPAPI version had been updated. But the ActiveX one wasn't so I've now updated that one.
Don't forget when updating to unclick the boxes for optionals like McAfee Security Scan unless you want it.
