New series of The X-Files to be made

David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson will reprise their roles as FBI agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully for the six-part series.

Original creator Chris Carter will be at the helm when production starts this summer.

It is not yet known when it will air on TV.

I enjoyed it the first time round but I feel it's another example of how the U.S. programme makers are struggling for ideas. Remakes, prequels and sequels and resurrections seem to be too common.

I just hope the stories are strong enough and don't end up being another Dallas !!
