I'm going to have to try to catch it somehow - local bloke I used to work beside is playing one of the main Zombies apparently!  (he's 67 and an ex Hollywood stuntman!)

I should probably add I worked beside him in a pub where he was chef.. not in Hollywood....   Just in case anyone thought I was Susan Sarandon or Michelle Pfeiffer

If this is on every day for a week I won't be able to watch it as my bedtime is too early and I don't own a recording device.

It's weekly; 8 episodes, I believe...

Ah, in that case I may be able to watch as I have every Monday off in February and March.

Yes, they are proper scaring the living carp out of me. I have all the lights on in the house and I'm watching with my back to the wall and a baseball bat in hand. I keep hearing noises in the house until I realised it's me - if you get my drift. Definitely watch this with someone else or in the daylight - FFS don't watch it at night as you will have nightmares.

Apart from that it's like BB with zombies.

WUM!

I'll just have to keep trying to spot Bob... mind you, from memory the make up dept might not have had a hard job.

I think you may struggle Kaffy as the make-up is really rather good and the editing is quite choppy at times also there are night scenes.

...but let me know if you do and which zombie it was.

Finally caught up on this, and that line annoyed me: they'd already explained that they needed extra bedding to keep warm because of a temperature drop during the night.

As with "real" BB, I'm already feeling that this show works best when they just play it "straight" and don't try to force things. The weak attempts at humour in the form of Public Information Announcements from the "Preventative Agency for Neurological Transformations and Zombification" ("PANTZ"   ) are another case in point...

As it currently stands, I'm going to try and stick with it. HoweverI'm struggling to see how it can keep my interest for another 7 weeks - unless we start betting on who'll be killed first!

What won't?

I'm afraid I'm bored rigid by this show. It really is just BB with zombies. The bickering has started and the format is just meh.

Now to find something else for a Sunday just before bed.

I ended up not watching past the first 20 minutes of week one and deleted the recording.

I'm not surprised Kaffy. When you removed all of the infomercials, the voiceovers, the presenter and shots of zombies walking around, there is very little left to watch. I think this will be lucky to get recommissioned.

Yes, I stopped watching after about 2.5 episodes. Anyone know who won, The zombies or the contestants?

Final episodes tonight - and that plural is correct. There's an episode at 10pm on BBC3 and the final episode at 1am. I think the last one is a retrospective featuring interviews with the "survivors".

I've just about stuck with the show, but I haven't watched last week's episode yet, so I'll have to record the ending. It hasn't been as bad as I expected, but I'm still sticking with my early misgivings. I think the biggest problem is that it's been structured too much towards "tasks", but without any real control over which survivors did them, thus allowing for a fair bit of "radar dodging". I would have liked to see the "survivors" given more freedom to move around the compound when they wanted to, and develop their own solutions to problems, but I'm guessing that could have caused too many Health & Safety issues...

I thought it was finished by now - how wrong can I be.

Let us know the ending please Eugene.

Meant to post back on this sooner – sorry. Not sure anyone’s going to be all that bothered now, but stillâ€Ķ

As I predicted, the penultimate episode was in fact the finale. The climax was actually pretty well done: some pretty tense moments, an eleventh-hour death and a rescue mission complete with armoured car and helicopter!

In the end, 4 survivors out of 12 made it. (The show claimed 13 original survivors, but one of them appears to have been a “stooge” who was infected and turned into a zombie – the show never gave any indication that the others could have prevented this from happening, so I’m not counting her.)

The star survivor had to be Amena, who was the closest thing the show had to a “poster girl” in its publicity pieces. TBH I didn’t care for her at the beginning as she seemed to be playing up to all the Reality TV stereotypes (she was at the centre of the key argument between survivors, and even seemed to be starting a little on-screen romance   ). However, she was really good at the tasks, and in end she got kudos from me for being the only one over the whole series who did the “walk past the chained zombies” task properly.

The final Episode (8) was a resume of the series. It was largely done in a sort-of documentary style with interviews with the final survivors only: it was in keeping with the rest of the series, but perhaps a little disappointing as one or two of the “deaths” occurred as a result of stitched-ups by the others, so it would have been interesting to hear what they thought about that in hindsightâ€Ķ

What did come across though was that they all found the experience genuinely scary. This was something that kept getting mentioned throughout the series: although everyone obviously knew it was “just a game show”, it was remarkable how quickly they all forgot that the zombies were just TV extras and stuntmen in makeupâ€Ķ

Overall it was a fairly decent summary of the series, and in the unlikely event that anyone’s curious about what they missed, catching Ep. 8 on iPlayer would be a good place to start...
