n unfortunate photo opportunity featuring George Osborne in an edition of this week’s Western Daily Press has caused a national newspaper to feature the image in its caption competition.

Earlier this week we posted the faux –pas of the Chancellor’s right finger in an innuendo-laden position when he was pictured in Hecks Cider in Street, Somerset, on Monday.

Heart Radio journalist Charlotte Gay spotted it the following day, and it was then picked up by The Sun, who offered a £100 prize for the best caption.

The winner, Kevin Gill, wrote a jibe which came from David Cameron to George Osborne, saying: “Well George, I see you brought Ed Miliband with you”.

That ginger fella looks ill at ease.
