I've visited Auschwitz and read lots about the Holocaust but that film was too much for me.

It was truly appalling ......and so very, very sad

I can't watch any of it because it makes me feel guilty without being guilty and years of saying that and trying to make amends for something I wasn't around for gets to you. For the record, my granddad went into a concentration camp for being a communist, my adoptive father went to prison for not raising his arm in a Hitler greeting, I could go on.

I think we all know by now that the first victims were Germans, be they homosexuals, gypsies, Freemasons, the disabled, the wrong politically minded, secular Jews, Marxist Jews, communist jews, Orthodox Jews, et al.

Let's prevent the next lot of facists from taking power, or even having a sniff of power in this country. All of the above are at risk.

Yes, and it's something that I intend to do one day too. There, and Paschendale where my granddad got mashed up.

I can't wish you a 'good' or 'nice' trip because that sounds wrong, Clumsy, and I'm not sure how to phrase what I wish you in the right way.  I hope you get what I mean.

I wasn't aware of the stone thing until I went to Bergen. It was a silent and unnerving place. Only us three there in such a huge area. Huge mounds with "here lie x100 people."

I`m not related to any of the victims but my relatives were German descent and they got a lot of stick during the war in the UK, just for having an umlout in the name though they were English (I`m not saying this compares in any way shape or form to the Holocaust) ... war affects everyone and the atrocities that happened should not be forgotten or lessened with time  

My paternal grandmother was German too! One of the famous pork butcher families. It was rather awkward at times!
