What I'd like to know is how do half of them get away with not being there for important stuff

I went for lunch at the House of Lords and it was rammed to the walls with lordships Menu was fantastic - extensive wine list... subsidised.
So I'd say that the Commons lot will all be in their bar too stuffing their faces

Oh,I know by someone I used to meet at the bus stop every morning (where I used to work) She worked on reception for the council and the amount of waste that goes on is ridiculous. The amount of food and stuff for council meetings...and all paid for by who?
It's a disgrace. Many a time I've been caught out on a mercy dash at silly o'clock and totally forgotten to bring any cash with me. And who's ever that lucky to pop into a hospital (A&E anyone??) and be out again within half an hour?
