Aww how sad,RIP.
OMG how awful - wondered why she suddenly left corrie
Genuinely shocked when I read it, noticed she was missing from Corrie but didn't realise she was ill.
She did used to smoke heavily on the show (when it was allowed),no idea if that had anything to do with her death, her voice got croakier over the years, such a shame.
Just read on Twitter that it was a brain tumour.
Really sad news. She was very well liked by Corrie cast and crew.
R.I.P. Anne
Very sad, at only 60 yrs old RIP Anne Kirkbride xx
I remember it was announced a few months ago that she would be taking time out from the show. At the time she was part of a big storyline so I wondered then if something serious was happening in her life. I've watched Corrie for years, can only imagine how sad her cast members are feeling. Thoughts go out to them and her husband and family. RIP Anne xxx
she will be missed, created a fantastic character
I really am genuinely sad to hear this I was only saying last week I wondered why she was away for so long. RIP Anne

It was a heartfelt speech.
Bill Roach was with her when she died. I can't even imagine how that must have felt.
