Washing machine planter update...... (no pics till it's finished, so shush)
I had to wait for aaaaaaages to spray paint it because of our crappy British weather, but I finally managed to find a few hours of sunshine a couple of weekends ago.
Face mask on (goggles abandoned due to misting up), I sprayed till my arm hurt (genuinely - it's about time they invented spray cans for wimps). I'd chosen a browny coloured stone effect paint.....and it looked totally rubbish!
I tried to pretend I liked it for a few days, forgot to spray the sealer on the top, it rained, and turned to mush.
So I decided to stop pretending I liked it, bought a can of green metal paint, and I now have a beautiful green drum! And in the words of Duds..."it's metal and it knows it's metal" Interpretation for those that don't speak Duds - "it looks amazing". He also couldn't resist telling me he said it should be green from the start, but we'll ignore that. My garden does have a green theme - green fence, multi-coloured green (and bloody beautiful) shed...so I suppose it makes sense.
So, this weekend I shall be finally planting plants in the damn thing. And I shall be back with pretty photos when it's all done.
Well done .....finally !
