supes    I don't have a word of argument on your post regarding him trying to justify himself... he was wrong, he knew he was wrong and he was trying to wriggle out and shift the blame (I'm glad we agree on that part at least!)

I'm still of the 'over-reacting' opinion though... whether that was a television tactic, or simply her nature I don't know, because I can't imagine reacting that way myself.  As for calling the police, I'm not in favour of that and whilst I know it's important to support victims. I do think it's a fine line between some idiot trying his luck and being assaulted (and I think we've probably disagreed on that one before too - good job we don't take it personally!)

Anyhoo.. moving on...

I do think that initially she was shocked and affronted, she was actually being kind and considerate to him, so shock seems appropriate.

I think the tears were real as well,I know people, female ones whose reaction to being shocked or out of their depth is to cry. Blokes in the same position just start shouting and ranting.

I think she liked or felt safe in the female concern that engulfed her, in the rather formidable form  of Nadia and in  the limpet grasp of Cami.

I must be a bit blokey...
