We were told she was going to shaft Salmond and she has.

What's she done?
Mind you two less attractive representatives of the Scottish nation would be hard to find, both miserable, smugs imo.
That's beside the point though..
I have a really unpleasant image imprinted on my mind now. It's going to take some shifting
Salmond, Sturgeon, all sounds a bit 'fishy' to me!
A virgin Sturgeon needs no urging.
Wonder why I remember that from primary school?

Sorry Madame, probably not the best choice of words but it was bandied about before the referendum that she would get rid of him and take his job.

I think it was my dirty mind rather than your choice of words, Cologne!
I wonder what sort of job she'll do? I'm hoping that a lot of Labour supporters who went over to the SNP will revert back to Labour at the General Election
Hi Cologne
Not sure from where you are getting your information from, but its been widely known in SNP circles that Alex Salmond would step down, whatever the outcome of the referendum and hand over the reigns to Nicola . One of the reasons she was promoted to deputy was for just that. (By Salmond, himself)
I celebrate her post, one for being a major achievement as a woman, and another because i think she will make an excellent First Minister . Some may disagree, but thats my opinion.

Just read it in several papers Skylark. I think she's divisive and is already gearing up for another referendum, but what do I know.

I dont think Nicola is divisive, Cologne, she has stated she will have a referendum when she thinks the people want it . At the moment , she says she will work with all to settle down and work with the new leader of the Scottish Labour Party. Its a time in Scotland to work together . I have no doubt there will be another referendum, but it wont be soon
I thought it was all sorted and agreed that Mr Salmond was going to stand down after the referendum vote and she was going to to succeed him?
Maybe I understood it wrong.
