This is a post & run...  as am dashing off to work shortly (yeah, on a Saturday - how dedicated am I? )

But...  just running through a load of stuff emailed to me by my Director to nay or yay for the new office (we are relocating)...      and its tea & toilets kinda stuff..    quite literally..      got onto mugs...    I had said my preference was for bone china (what can I say?  I like to drink out of thin china mugs..  not thick china that feels like I am drinking out of something one of the kids made in primary school)...    and I had this really blonde moment... when I was really confused & stunned...   when I scrolled to this...

ANd I am all "whoooaa!  WTF is Xochi doing on my mug?"

I am only grateful that we were doing it via email.. and not in person.   Cos if he had heard me say "Whoooaaa wtf is my friend Xochi doing on a mug" it might have undermined his opinion of my suitability for the business..   given that we produce art market investment information..   and collate all fine art sales globally   (thankfully I don't do this...   it doesn't rock my world... I leave the art stuff to those who get off on it)

Anyhoo..    I have nayed the mug..    whilst I like the idea of you being at my work Xoch..     I liked these ones better...

Hope everyone here is well..     sorry I am not here much (ok, at all)...   life started to happen again...   in a good way...     but it means I don't have the time to doss about online so much anymore!

I found this one, although it isn't the one we went to......
A superb and nice Shop full of Art Nouveau gifts, souvenirs and perfect reproductions just a few meters from the Sablon square and from the Central Station.
I discovered it by chance, attracted by the superb bougeoirs and Art Nouveau vases in the window. But, inside I could read many positive press reviews from the Economist, LonelyPlanet, Marco Polo, ... guides and even pictures of a Belgian royal princess wearing earrings sold in this wonderful shop!
They have also Art Nouveau jewelry reproductions in silver or gold with enamels, but also little china plate decorated with gold designs from famous Gustav Klimt or Mucha or glassware decorated with typical belgian art nouveau designs
The Senses pleated silk scarves collection is amazing: more than 24 colours and all scarves are handmade in Belgium.
Really the best place in Brussels ,as Brussels is the Capital of Art Nouveau, to find original and exclusive gifts, reproductions and souvenirs for you or for your family/ friends .
Owners are very friendly and they gave us very good advice for visiting Brussels but also to have a nice dinner.

I'll keep looking!

I'm not on FB Carport. I'll be patient tho'.

Was that description of the shop yours your that of the shop website? I was surprised that Belgium is the best place for Klimt merchandise and not Vienna.

Brussels is the self styled capital of Art Nouveau (even though a lot of the important buildings are Art Deco) they tend to lump Mucha and Klimt together!
That wasn't my description-I googled to see if I could find the shop.
If you were to enter the Grand Place from The Bourse and then leave the square midway to the right you would find the shop!
However I don't think I'll be there until next Spring.
If we travel together we stay in Brussels, but next month I'm travelling on my own and I prefer Liege. I'll see if I can discover more though.
