Fantastic film
Flippin eck EC!!! I didn't realise he had done that much
A great actor and a great man.
RIP
My chap was watching him earlier today in 'The Great Escape' (for about the 100th time)
He was such a versatile actor and his portrayal of Christie in '10 Rillington Place' still gives me the shivers just thinking about it.

Oh yes, he was fantastic as Christie
I was watching Chaplin the other night.
Thought he coaxed a good performance out of Downey.
I'm gonna get hold of Rillington Place and watch

As I've told you before....I'm not an avid film lover
he will be missed
For many years, Attenborough pretty much was the British film industry. As EC's list shows, he was responsible for an incredible number of memorable roles and films. It's a truly great legacy.
RIP.
RIP Richard, thank you for everything

I liked him in 10 Rillington Place ...and also London Belongs to Me
Great perfomance from John Hurt as Timothy Evans, too, I thought. The book was jolly good as well, written by Ludovic Kennedy if I remember rightly. The Christie\Evans case was one that went a long way to changing people's minds about capital punishment.
RIP Richard Attenborough. What an accomplished man - incredible career.

Baz, do you remember the tv series of the same name too?
It was.......a while ago , but I often wish they'd repeat it on Encore or ITV3.
I downloaded the book for my kindle recently and still haven't got round to reading it.
Brilliant actor, producer and director, and nice man. RIP Dickie.

Which goes to prove you can't trust Wikipedia for the facts
How could they miss off 10 Rillington Place.
Having said that I was so eager to post, I did not proof read.
I don't want to hi-jack Mr Attenborough's tribute thread but if anyone has read the book or seen the film 10 Rillington Place and is interested in reading more of Ludovic Kennedy's works on miscarriages of justice then I can recommend '36 Murders and Two Immoral Earnings'. A real eye-opener
BBC1 is showing a tribute programme tonight: 10.30 to 11.30pm.
BBC4 are showing "10 Rillington Place" on Thursday at 10.15pm.
