Yes.  We shouldn't just help out when there is oil to collect from it.  We should help out when people are getting slaughtered and we can do stuff about it.  It shouldn't be decided on a 'what's in it for us' basis.  If the govt can help in any way, they should BECAUSE they've been quick enough to jump in and 'help' in other countries.

I don't think the Syrian conflict was as clear cut as this is (but I don't think we should get involved in this either)

 

I still say the Chemical weapons used in Syria was used by the rebel fighters trying to get the west in there and remove the Syrian leader for them.

I'm all for helping humanity, there are innocent civilians getting slaughtered in gaza, Syria and Iraq, and probably in a lot of other places too.
I want peace but don't think it's going come until the entire human race is extinct.

I'm a bit sceptical about the media coverage too, I think the news often reports what they want us to hear and not what's really going on.
