Zoe has been evicted! Check out her top five moments

She arrived late and now she's leaving early - say goodbye to the tenth evictee, Ms Zoe Birkett! Whether you love her a lot or little, you have to admit that the House will be a much quieter place without the West End wonder. To fill some of the immediate void, look back at her top five moments...

1. Scaring Steven

Zoe evidently thought the housemates weren't having enough fun before she turned up, because she soon took it upon herself to cheer them up - for starters, by playing a classic prank on Steven. Hiding under a mound of pillows in his bed, she waited for him to lift the covers to get in and then popped up, scaring him senseless. LOL indeed.

2. The Big Brother Baby?

For her bid for viral video immortality, Zoe decided to give birth to the first Big Brother baby.

We have so, so many questions, and no answers at all.

3. Waxing lyrical

Singing sensation Zoe was almost always busting out a tune, but our favourite song was her improvised rap about her new Borehamwood based friends. It might not have rhymed, it might have been a little bit difficult to watch, but we enjoyed it anyway.

4. She feels like dancing

Zoe got another chance to show off her musical talents during the Step Up task. Given her professional dance training, Big Brother decided it was fairest for her to act as dance coach rather than being in one of the crews, and she took her role very seriously indeed, pushing Elite Street and the Foot Soldiers to give it their all.

5. Salon silliness

When Helen needed her roots touching up, Zoe and Mark stepped in - and turned the bathroom into their very own salon. They gave themselves new names (Candice and St Paul) and new personalities, chattering away about holidays and all the celebrities they'd pampered in their world-famous salon. They warmed to their roles so thoroughly, in fact, that they even decided to give Christopher - sorry, Shaznay - a makeover after they'd finished with Helen.

Evicted Big Brother housemate Zoe Birkett has blamed BB editors for making her seem stuck.

This evening’s BBUK live show saw Zoe Birkett become the latest to leave in the Big Brother 2014 results, losing out in the weekly public poll alongside Chris R Wright and Pav Paul.

Zoe left to a mixed reaction from the live crowd after being booed as the result was announced

Speaking to BB host Emma Willis, Zoe said: β€œI wanted the experience and do something different. The end bit there, the worst thing that would happen is that I’d be in the arms of my mum and dad.

β€œI’d have loved to have gone through to the end but I’m pleased for Pav.

β€œI think emotionally I’m a lot stronger then some in there, dealing with crowds and stuff.”

Zoe.

Discussing entering some 40 days into the series, Zoe said: β€œIt’s hard, everyone’s got bonds, everyone’s got relationships. They’re still suspicious of us now.

β€œThey’re seriously paranoid, they’re on serious edge. I found that quite difficult, I was there for the craic and the fun, there was too much paranoia for me.”

The Pop Idol singer insisted she β€œdidn’t care” about being nominated and that she expected to face eviction every week since entering.

On her infamous β€˜Tesco comment’, Zoe said: β€œYou missed the whole conversation. The chat we had for about half an hour.

β€œI work in retail, my mum and dad would slap us if I ever became higher than I thought I was.

β€œThe conversation was about half an hour long!”

She added: β€œI’ve definitely been misunderstood. 100%. To say I’m stuck up, I’ve been working at 2AM handing out leaflets to get a roof over my head.”

Zoe also talked about Mark and says she loved his energy and buzzed off him. She goes on to describe Ash as β€œsalt of the earth”

Big Brother Summer 2014

Zoe concluded: β€œI’m just a generally happy lass, I’ve got a general zest for life, if that’s my downfall then I’m happy with that.”

Ex-Pop Idol star and world's happiest girl Zoe Birkett found herself evicted
last night after just three weeks in the house.

And in the end, her eviction seems to have come down to a comment she made about Tesco workers.

Speaking to Ash, Zoe said: "If they’d put me in a house with normal people who are like, β€˜I work in Tesco’ or whatever, that’s fair enough. But I would have too many stories, too much life experience."

But Zoe reckons that the whole situation was completely
over-exaggerated.
Speaking to the Daily Star Online, the newly-freed star said: "I think it was blown out of proportion, to be honest. Firstly, they didn't show the whole conversation, it went on for half an hour.
"Secondly, I was always bubbly and normal and down-to-earth, and
I'm not two-faced."

The super-smiley Northerner was booted out after being put up against Pav and Chris for the public vote. But despite not even spending a month in the famous bungalow, Zoe is still happy she went into the house halfway through the series.

She told us: "I'm happy to be out, I just needed a kiss and cuddle from my mam and dad. If I'd have went in at the start, I might not have lasted.

"I sound so wet, but I speak to my family twelve times a day, I'm not used to speaking to them. Some people speak to their families once a week, and the housemates are stronger, but I just wasn't used to it."

Before heading into the house, those of us who remember life pre-X
Factor knew Miss Birkett for her time on Pop Idol. Since then, she has carved a career in theatre, recently starring in Thriller: Live on the West End – but
don't think she was in the house to further her career.

Zoe said: "Actually, I was in two minds about going into the house in case it jeopardised my career."

C'mon, when has a BB housemate ever seen their career fail?…Er, forget we said that.

Unsurprisingly, Zoe wants her fellow ball of energy Mark to win, but reckons Winston might steal the title.

She said: "I think Winston will win, because he's a really nice guy. But what you don't see is he's very quiet. Yeah, two or three times a day he'll say something funny, but you don't see the rest."

That's a back-handed compliment if we've ever heard one
.

I had to turn off or I'd have broke the TV. I find Lionel Blair's and that Nolan woman's comments about Chris bad enough but that plonker Steven's attack on Chris was outrageous. Him and his mother are disgraceful. Talk about bad loser, we voted him out because he was vile, creepy, controlling and just downright unlikeable. I'm not sure who's holding the grudge the most, him or his mother.

Zoe's first day of freedom

She was never short of tales to tell while she was in the House but what's the story with our latest evictee? We grabbed Zoe to find out how she has filled her time since waving goodbye to the housemates.

First meal:

Fry up breakfast this morning.

First drink:

A glass of champagne on Bit on the Side.

First friend or family member you spoke to:

Me mam and dad.

First thing you did when you got your phone back:

I didn't even look at it. I still haven't.

What time did you get to bed/wake up this morning?

I got to sleep at 6.45am and was up an hour later.

Which housemates are you missing already?

None yet but I do miss Mark's energy.

Which housemates are you glad you no longer live with?

No one really. They were all quite pleasant. No one really annoyed me.

Has your opinion of any of the housemates changed since leaving the House?

Not really. I knew I'd get on better with Mark than say Chris and Ashleigh.

How was your first Bit on the Side experience?

I loved it!
