Jeez, compared to knobjockey Winston (who she also saw his VT) Chris was tame.

She is going to be another Linda Nolan, I can feel it in my bones....I hope im wrong tho.

She described Chris as "the short, ugly one" because the other HMs didn't initially know who she meant. Not the best choice of words, I agree, but it wasn't meant as a direct insult.

She'd just seen Chris claim on TV that he was going to "pee in the kitchen". Previous BB HMs have urinated in the kitchen bin, masturbated into the crockery and spread their excrement all over the furniture: of course she is going to take his threat seriously and of course she is going to warn the other HMs.

Remember that we don't have Live Feed, and BB specifically chose this little clip to show us, For all we know she's been relating all the other VT clips to the other HMs too. We can't assume she's just singling out Chris.

Besides: whether he was being serious or not, for Chris to make a comment like that on his VT was utterly moronic. As I said on the live thread, all the HMs should know by now that their VTs are always likely to be shown to the house at some point. Alison in BB3 was nominated and subsequently evicted simply because she told the other HMs she'd urinated in the shower. It later turned out that she'd lied to support Johnny, but that lie cost her her place in the house. You simply do not say things like that in the house because it's exactly the sort of thing HMs will use against you when nominating,

She claimed with age she is not judgemental anymore but she has Judged a person on a 60 second badly edited VT and he stated in the VT that he was a joker with a weird sense of humour so I don't believe she feels threatened that he will pee in the kitchen and as for calling him short and ugly she needs to look in the mirror but I do thjink she might make a good HM..

No-one nice would describe someone as "the short ugly one". Chris seemed to be more mischievous than anything in his VT - the usual bluster promising they''ll be trouble.

I though the manner in which Pauline told the other hms about Chris, was more about getting them all on her side with a target selected already, than genuine disapproval and concern.

She could turn out to be a sly boots i.m.o.

Very much agree. Perhaps smarter and more subtle than Linda though.

My immediate reaction was that "weird sense of humour" mean he's the sort of bloke who thinks it's funny to urinate in the kitchen as a practical joke. Until we know Chris better, I think it was reasonable for Pauline to err on the side of caution and assume he was telling the truth. Let's not forget what Jay was prepared to do in BB12 for the sake of a "joke"...

As for the "short, ugly" line: I've just lurked over on DS, and it's amusing to see the number of posts there criticizing her for saying it, while at the same time having a go at her for being "fat"...

At the time, I took "weird sense of humour" to mean the sort of bloke who thinks it's funny to urinate in the kitchen as a practical joke. Until we know Chris better, I think it was reasonable for Pauline to err on the side of caution and assume he was telling the truth. Every time you argue it, I see it your way

Now I don't know!

Please note I've edited my previous post.

I do want to make it clear that I don't think she should have used the "short, ugly" line, but as it currently stands I think it was the sort of spur-of-the-moment comment we all make at times, and wasn't intended as malicious. I certainly don't think it's the "scandal" that some over on DS are already trying to make it out to be.

I find it ironic that a lot of people are criticizing her for being judgemental about the other HMs based solely on their short, heavily-edited VTs (even though that was her task), while at the same time basing that judgement of her solely on a short, out of context clip that BB singled-out to show us.

From watching him enter the house, I have some concerns about Chris. It's highly probable that they're way off the mark, so I won't be discussing them further here until/unless we learn a lot more about him. Let's just say that I fully expect my opinions of both Chris and Pauline to go full circle several times over the next few weeks!

I doubt he'd lash the laddie out on camera and as for Conor he was just an animal who thought he could do anything cos he was friends with the production..

no way am I one of the PC brigade I just think it done her no favours how she said it it came so natural, if I was to call someone that it would be in anger and not in description..

Eugene I can see what you mean about Chris, from his slightly aloof and eccentric demeanour on the snippet of LF last night. He'll be alienated even further from the group thanks to Pauline.

You could well be right about him.... if so, hope it won't develop into a Shabaz / BB7  deal.

Sorry  Look at me jumping the gun

I agree, I think she will turn out to be team nasty

It will be interesting to see who she gives the killer nomination to, whoever she picks could be alienated from the group as the others will think Pauline must have seen something bad in their VT and the public want like them, which imo isn't fair, if they manage to survive a few evictions things may change but if they get voted out first the whole killer nomination will have been a waste of time, I think she will go for Chris, I can't see it being a girl

I think the killer thing could be a bonus, the public love an under dog and if they keep saving that person then others will think they are popular in veer towards them....
