I had one of those John Bull printing outfits when I was young.

 

My brother when he was at senior school had ambitions of becoming a bit of a publisher and wanted to make a magazine for the school. My father bought him a small printing press which looked something like this:

He also got my brother quite a lot of lead type to create the pages to be printed. Although my brother used the press to do some printing he never made much use of the printer which disappointed my father as it and the lead type were not cheap.
