Here goes.....

Occasionally the BBC will have a pgrogramme available to watch on the iPlayer AT THE SAME TIME as it is broadcasting it on mainstream TV. The iPlayer will (should) indicate this is a SIMULCAST  and the time of the Simulcast. If you watch/record/download at anytime during this Simulcast you would need a license. If you watch/download AFTER the simulcast is finished, then you won't need the license.

I have a freind that lives in France with the same problem.. .however she gets around it by going thru a proxy server that tells iplayer she has a Uk IP address. ..she is not at all technical so have no idea how she set it up but it can't be that hard if she managed it

Network Communication...Full network access...View Wi-fi connection..view network connections.....

Rog, I never usually read the terms of agreement fine print either but it was there as I quoted above

The thing is with the T of E the print is so small you need a HUGE magnifying glass

If you just watch the downloads on the the bbc iplayer site  without downloading them to the iplayer thingy on your pc, hopefully that stuff doesn't apply?
