Coffee and chicory. I have a bottle in my cupboard, but only to use in cakes.

Doesn't it contain chicory? I tried it once when I was a kid but can't remember whether I liked it or not.

So do you just spoon some of the (I presume it's a liquid) into a cup and add wasser?

I notice that in the picture on the bottle in the first post the soldier is sitting down and the chap serving him the coffee is standing.  Apparently this depiction was deemed to be politically incorrect and on the newer bottles both gentlemen are seated.

It's utterly disgusting as a drink ... but as an ingredient in Delia's sticky toffee pudding it cannot be beaten
