Call me old fashioned but I must say that I am surprised that any person who sells their surplus labour could ever be anti-union.
Maybe it's because of my family background, both Dad and I were branch officials, but this talk of union barons, strikes, anarchy and such are nonsense.
I feel grateful to have belonged to a Trade Union, still a member, OLD Labour, and the WEA, all positive organisations. Luckily I never needed the genuinely free law services. But plenty of people did.
It does seem a dreadful Marxist clichÃĐ that society (sic) is run for the benefit of the transnational, non tax paying elite, but it really is true, and anyone who assisted these people to power is to blame, and not those on the left. I'm sure Messrs Murdoch and Blair know to whom I refer.
