If we start talking about intellingence being linked to worthiness then we get into the realms of Nazism
Hows this for a reasoned argument Saint:
1. You're doing my head in.
2.*Slap*
3.
Block me

You couldn't pay me to eat that Cinds
I wouldn't eat that either; it looks a bit processed
I don't do raw egg on top (although it may be mixed with all the other ingredients for all I know)...someone else makes it for me
Next time I order it, I'll take a piccy for you.
I would have refused
Wouldn't it be more rude to ask you to comprmise your beliefs?
No, it's rude to insult the hosts.
By all means decline, but if they've no prior knowledge of your 'likes' then it's really not your place to dictate what they serve. Or to insult them by being offended by their menu.

Surely it's nothing to do with putting pressure on someone. I would always serve meat or possibly fish if I had guests for dinner. If I had been told in advance that they were vegetarian I'd prepare something else. I would never put pressure on anyone to eat what I'd cooked but I'd be slightly annoyed that they hadn't let me know beforehand if they were vegetarian or had special dietary needs.
I think it was very polite of Slim to have a go - as she has said she wasn't veggie at the time.
Slim said it would be rude not to - i disagree
Your choices must be respected

I agree that choices should be respected but it would be very rude to go for a meal with someone and not let them know your particular aversions in advance.

Yep - i agree
I've had guinea fowl ....very nice.
Last year I tasted Roe Deer for the first time ....absolutely beautiful.
I'm terribly ashamed to admit (don't know if I dare) ........but ........my absolute favourite meat isVeal - love it.
Incidentally for the Venison lovers - Aldi do a lovely Venison steak in their frozen range.
Back home in the early 70s I used to campaign against eating veal, but it's farming and rearing is far removed from those practises now and I do actually believe that if we want to keep the breed, we need to use it.

Baring in mind I was visiting my brother in Paris that I hadn't seen in over 10 yrs...if I had been told what we were going to have I may have said.
Ultimately, it did not offend the lady one bit.
Infact we dined with her again on my second visit.
If I had a guest to dine at mine it would in no way offend me if they did not like my choice of food....I would rise to the occasion & accommodate them best I could.
I would have refused

She didn't put pressure on me one bit...it was my brother who did that.
Here we go. Round 2
My doctor told me to watch what I eat, so I went out and bought tickets for
the Grand National.
