One Direction lost out to Arctic Monkeys for the best British group trophy.

They stated that they were bigger than the Beatles

Do they honestly think they have played any part in changing the music scene

I switched over after watching Bruno but I'm glad Bowie got an award. If One Direction are still in the business in decades to come then maybe they'll deserve an award. To me they're one of many who've taken music in the Wrong Direction. Can't comment on Arctic Monkeys, have heard the name but never their music
