We have a friend who works in the techy side at Caterham...quite high up...we plan to exploit this friendship like mad!!! 

and why not...otherwise someone else will  once he's on the ladder he has to work like hell, but if its a lifetime ambition it will come to him naturally Mrs B 

No-one seems to have reported yet that he was skiing off piste with his 14 year old son!  Great role model. 

I'm not sure that his son was off piste as well. Schumacher was only 20 metres off. I feel protective because he grew up virtually a neighbour on the outskirts of Cologne, his family are solid and I don't believe that he would endanger any of them.

in the years when I used to go skiing we often went off piste. .usually it was really just a fresh untouched snow area running parallel to the ski runs. .and tbh you can fall and hit your head on a rock on the best of proper pistse's..

in fact it is more dangerous on the official runs sometimes if they are packed with skiers of different abilities all going at different speeds and wiping each other out..

Former motor racing champion Michael Schumacher's condition has improved slightly after an operation to relieve pressure on his brain, his doctors have said.

A new scan taken overnight showed signs that he was "better than yesterday", but he was still "not out of danger", doctors said.

MRSB...     I will pm you some info in the ship about motorsports courses at Oxford Brookes through the smallpeice trust..   they are the org that got Ickle her scholarship..   that who thing began because she applied to & went on a 3 day residential F1 motorsports engineering course.  

Some positive news released this morning:

F1 champion Michael Schumacher is showing "moments of consciousness" after months in a coma, his agent has said.

Sabine Kehm said in a statement to the media that he was "making progress", adding that they remain "confident".

Some very good news to report this morning:

F1 champion Michael Schumacher has left hospital in Grenoble and is no longer in a coma, his family says.

The 45-year-old German will continue his rehabilitation at an undisclosed location, they said in a statement.

Thank you El Loro, that's lovely to hear.
