But to be honest they were all guesses. The charts are not something I pay much if any attention to.

I second that Nice to see you back
I'm getting the impression that the forum is made up of people who actually don't see the charts as a gauge of quality, but plough their own musical furrow in pursuit of aural nirvana in the process sidestepping the dross and mediocrity that is chart music.
I salute you all

Festive fair to middling. You know enough but not so much that itâs sad. As Mel & Kim once sang, albeit not at Christmas, Respectable.

Ditto.
I was hoping for a zero score though

That's an interesting perspective. That a song is automatically mediocre by definition if it makes it on to a 'chart'. Or perhaps you mean the current charts because knowing that you're a Human League fan reminded me (if I recall correctly) that they had a Christmas number one record in the 1980s.
I'm pleased with that.
5 - It's a Christmas miracle!!

He chose "Ernie, the fastest milkman in the West" not because he really thinks it's any good but because he needed something in his list that said 'Call me Dave has a sense of humour' and something for the older generation.
How many men in their mid 40s who claim to 'like' The Smiths and The Jam, would chose a crappy novelty record like Ernie by Benny Hill as among their favourite records?
That man is as fake as he is pathetic and useless as a PM!
