A rather interesting documentary on scrap collectors and processors.

Money laundering springs to mind.
Still...with Daytonas and C63 AMG's..
Oh dear, here we have the now obligatory "foreigners are taking our scrap". Why am I not surprised.
Where does all the nicked cable etc go? Scrappers.
Dodgy business.

Maybe in the past, but there is a big push to stop scrappers taking in stolen metals. Certainly in my area they have introduced photograph taking of the load and the vehicle/driver and I understand licensing.
âĶbut there will always be those who bend/break the law.
Is it good EC ? If so I will watch it on +1 .
I like a documentary and it has it's moments. I was stunned how much one chap makes in a year. I was disappointed by their negative attitudes to foreign workers. Not entirely believing everything the scrappers say.
But worth a watch I would say.
I'm going to catch up with this they take stuff round here with out asking, they even took a little girls bike near my parents house that she had left in the garden
Quelle surpris.

Thanks ... I'll record it then

I don't believe for one second when they say that they ask and only take broken metal items or items that have been left out for them.

I put a dryer on my drive next to the garage and went in the house to answer the phone I came back out and these two blokes were putting it on their lorry, it was scrap but I could have been putting it in the garage for all they knew

You can't leave anything on your drive these days. I would not have the nerve to go onto someone's property and remove items without asking.
