Ahh.  Funerals have a rotten tendency to bring the vultures out. 

Best to keep your dignity.

I've been to many funerals of family or friends, thank goodness most have been rightly respectful to the person who's passed. My Mum's passed now bless her but at one time she was the Manager of a care home for the elderly. So many times she told me stories of when a resident died within a short time some family members would arrive and remove all personal belongings whether furniture or more personal stuff, then other family members would arrive eventually and complain to my Mum at what had been taken.

Just before one funeral I went to of someone I really cared about we were gathered in the house of the deceased and the family members were ransacking the deceased's possessions, and when they found the personal letters covering many years, many were between husband and wife, they read them out and were laughing and making fun of them, I was so disgusted at the laughter and lack of respect I had to leave the room and go outside for a breath of fresh air. It's a hard lesson in realising what some human beings are like.

It's awful Yella and I can see that's heartfelt and a view shared by all rational humans  

It's direct "family" here though and there wisnae even a cunning disguise.

If it's direct family Velvet my thoughts and heart go out to you, it hurts I know Not now but at some time in the future those responsible will come to know how their actions affected others, take care xxx

Well you'd like to hope so but that sort carry on regardless  

If whatever helps them get through sincere good luck to them but there's more to life than life

donks     As Cosi says, those times do bring out the worst in some (or maybe just highlight what's there)    Better off on the outside of that sort of thing i reckon  - better to have good memories and a clear conscience I reckon.

Be glad you're not like them   

a young(ish) girl in a house nearby to where i live died, she lay undetected for a few days afterwards there were so many cars at her house they were double parked! emptying the house day and night, one woman put some coat hangers in the bin only for another woman to take them out! a pity she didn't have all these visitors when she was alive.
