I opened this thread with trepidation as I was concerned it was going to say he'd died or (as others have said) been accused of something awful. Thankfully, it was neither of those!
I'd like to see John have more screen time on Countryfile but not if it means less of Matt Baker. Like Baz, I love Matt and, for EC's benefit, it is his cute butt and flexibility nice smile and warm personality which is so endearing.
They could always get rid of Julia Bradbury and give John her slots on the programme.

lol - I'm OK with Matt, but can't endorse the loss of Bradbury especially as she has strong links to the Sheffield area having been schooled here and acted at the Crucible Theatre.
