Me? I just want a three day weekend

I was panic drinking before the storm sets in
Actually, it was my youngest's birthday and we all went out for lunch: all the kids, the Saga Louts, me and the old fella - it was a great (6 hour ) lunch and a good time was had by all.
I might not be content if our dodgy oak crashes through the roof later though!
To see my daughter, I miss her
That's lovely. I feel pretty much the same although I'd love my daughter to find love.
10 minutes ago I had a phone call.....mMr Woo's sister's husband of 34 years has just walked out on her. He has been having an affair for 13 years. TBH I'd always felt something like that was going on. He's a lorry driver who only goes home every other weekend. Let's be honest ......who could possibly believe he works all those hours? I know I sound un sympathetic but they are a funny old bunch.
It just makes you very grateful for what you have.

God, that stinks. Then again, now that the sh*tbag's finally walked let's hope she gets some true contentment. Good luck to her, Soozy

This is gonna sound awful Cosi but she has made his life a misery for years. I know he's been deceitful and all that but I really don't know how he has put up with her for so long. They have had a strange marriage and I think she's hung on cos it suits her financially. There hasn't been anything like love for many, many years.
God I just read that back. I can be a prize bitch sometimes.
I'm just a bit at the moment.
Ahh well, that puts a whole new dollop of custard on the jelly, Soozy.
Let's hope they both find contentment (he'll probably beat her to it by sounds of it), and maybe she'll realise there's more to life than just hanging on and holding someone else down too.
You're not a bitch - just a straight from the hip shooter

Come ere Aims..
You're doing alright xxx This is the worst bit.. this term.. ok, next term is a bit crap n all.. but after that you realise you've started to adapt.. that when they are away you plod on and the days become weeks, the weeks become months & they become terms and then they are back turning your life upside down, your purse inside out & basically driving you nuts for 3 months in the summer.
ANd then repeat - only its never as bad as the bit you are going through now is...
xxxxx
my bessie & her hubby are in a similar state atm.. their only child also left for uni (well dance school) this year.. my friend has taken up running (Every evening in the dark.. tears running down her face).. and her hubby - he is even worse than she is. the daughter is home for reading week this week and he's booked the week off to be with her
You'll be ok Aims.. but I feel for you.. been there xxx
