Taking your points above and assuming that there is something out there I decided to do a bit of thinking on the subject.

 

It would seem that there have been stories of these types of creatures dating back as far as 1840. In all this time you would have thought we would have found one either alive or dead (the skeleton/remains).

 

Black bears have lived over 30 years in captivity but in the wild would be less given the environment and challenges they face. That would mean a similar creature would need to procreate, therefore there would need to be other males and females. How many in number would be enough to sustain a species? Also how would inbreeding affect the gene pool?

 

Technology over recent years would suggest we have the means to remotely surveil areas where sightings have been made.

 

 

What do you think on my thoughts?
