Yep, good thinking

 

I bought myself a Samsung Galaxy S3 outright and joined giffgaff (O2) at £7.50 per month. Can't complain at all.

 

I would say that you really need to play around with phones until you find one that suits size wise.

I'm a total apple convert, so can only tell you that I love my iPhone so much that if it were legal, I'd marry it! (Ok, not really but you get the gist )

I'd do what the above posts recommend, read lots of reviews and take your time choosing the right one for you

I have an HTC Sensation XE.. .I was going to go for a Galaxy but the HTC is sturdier more robust and better built, the Galaxy was too plasticky and flimsy. I like to be able to feel that I have a phone in my hands both weight wise and also that doesn't feel like it is going to snap..

 

I've also seen the Sony Xperia which looks good too.. Virgin do all of these in their packages and if you are already a Virgin media customer you get a better deal too.

I also love my iPhone. It's a brilliant thing to take abroad !

I did have a look on Virgins website last night Olly and discovered that for £15 a month you can get a chip off them which would give unlimited texts, calls and data on a 30 day rolling contact

that's not bad but the cost is usually in the phone which you'd have to supply yourself..

Yep, my mobile phone is Sainty but my broadband, telly and home phone are with Virgin that's why I was looking at Virgin sims

I just noticed the Nokia Lumia 625 Windows 8 phone

 

They rang me the other day telling me they could re jig my package and save me £5 a month by giving me more tv channels.... Then they tried to sell me a mobile phone package Methinks the "i can save you £5 a month...." speech was just a foot in the door for the sales call!

I bought my Iphone (reconditioned) and have a sim only deal with giff gaff. for £10 a month i get 500mins 1gb of data and unlimited txts

I'm not really up on gb's of data. Exactly what does it mean in terms of time online?

My mobile phone is down to two choices...

 

The Samsung Galaxy S4

 

or

 

The Nokia Lumia 520 with Windows Phone 8

 

Probably the former rather than the later

But that could all change

 

That would be my choice seeing as I have the Galaxy S3 and can't complain about it. As ever I would recommend having a play with each of them just so you have first hand experience of your choices.

That's what I like about this forum, all the members have good sensible advice to put forward

when I was last updating my phone I had it down to a few choices and I googled comparisons. I got a load of links with you tube videos comparing the two.. found it really handy when finally making my choice

 

At that time it was between the Samsung Galaxy S3 and the HTC Sensation XE.. I went for the later. .partly cos of the video comparisons and partly cos a neighbour had the S3 and it felt too plasticky and limp and light for me..
