Is anyone watching this? I couldn't find a thread..

if you are watching it you'll know they are all going a tad bonkers as a back story to the 2 week solving a murder stuff too..

I need to put it in writing tell someone that I guessed this ages ago and they are all going mad cos of the black mould on the walls in the blokes dungeon .. where the guy is going thru all the records. Can't remember his name.. . he found it in the very first episode of this series but seems to have forgotten about it

I bet I am right

that's all

I watch it Olly ( although half the time from behind a cushion ) , and I said exactly the same thing to a friend the other day ...so I reckon your right It seemed very shades of Salem Witch Trials to me .....however, I think I will stay well away from the area ...and dentists ....for the forseeable future Oh , and it might help them all if someone put a shilling in the meter in their offices ...and then at least they could see what they are doing .....and I could see more of the lovely Rupert ,

ooooh  I am glad it's not just me. . I just wanted it in writing somewhere that I guessed what is causing it before the reveal next week, if that is the last episode... cos no one would believe I'd guessed if I said afterwards. . that's when living alone is a right pain . .no one to say see, I told ya so to

it has got very dark this series.. last nights was very creepy. .and last weeks with the murderer wearing his mothers face

I can't remember the dentist thing . .brain fail

and yeah that office building is ready to be condemned... tho I think that started in the very first one... it was always dim to try and make it seem they were almost going back in time to Jack the Ripper days which was the main focus of the first series.. and where the lighting was much dimmer too

I've not actually watched this weeks episode yet ...I usually save it for the weekend ...and the daylight The dentist was where one of the victims in last weeks episode was snatched from

I agree with Olly that the mould which Ed discovered in the first episode will be responsible for everyone going a bit strange - and I hope they finally let Joe catch and lock up the murderer.

do you think it contributed to that copper standing on the edge?

Yes, the mould and the weird phone calls he's been receiving.

Yup cos he was getting weird phone calls with nonsense babble on them but he thinks it's the other coppers twin sister phoning him the one who he was boffing and who has dumped him now..

it is all very strange and spooky and weird in the head stuff this time

thanks for the dentist reminder Baz. . that didn't bother me that much or I am sure it would have stuck in my head a bit more..

I watch it too Olly.

But this psycho-crime-horror-fantasy stuff is pissing me off now. I watched it originally as a well-crafted procedural crime programme and now its dived off into another genre altogether. I love my former genre as much as anyone and the latter genre too but the muddling of the two together for no obvious reason mid-series is a reason for me to stop watching.

Xochi

I watched a couple of episodes of the last series but nothing of the newest one as now I just can't watch anything that contains violence of one human being towards another, whether in real life or scripted... I stopped watching films that contained violence a long time ago. At some point I gave up watching the News as listening to the headlines I was hearing it was going to be all about negative stories, whether war related in whatever part of the world, murders whether adult or child related and some child cases were horrific, injustices, and political agendas from whichever party that were designed from those behind the scenes that wrote their scripts to hopefully pull people into their agenda...which in the end is one of self interest and not one for the masses and their benefit despite what they say, and if elected then forget to follow through with their promises. So basically I can no longer watch anything, real or imagined, that contains violence or a negative message.

Yellow Rose

Yeah Zochi I agree they have muddled it up too much with weirdness this season. .I loved the previous ones and the journey they took us on as they discovered the truth, now I don't know where they are taking me half the time   or what is to do with a current case or them lot all going off their rockers

YR sounds like you have a real bad violence phobia there. . I tend to avoid stuff that plays with the head rather than violence as I find that more disturbing to watch. .suppose we all have our little foibles

Mount Olympus *Olly*

I agree with you all ... it's a bit too weird for me really, but i do keep watching! The one bit that I had to cover my eyes for this week was when the woman got her hand sorted ( I had to put it like that for those who haven't seen it yet!)

do you know what really annoyed me though? That woman police officer (her with the hand) has got the same jumper as me. Although she does fill hers out and mine is nice and baggy!!

Rexi

So it wasn't the black mould magnifying all their insecurities which would have been more realistic, it was some the doddery old woman that popped up in each episode and who appears to have been some immortal witch.. making the whole thing an utter farce and I'm not really sure what the eck it was all about if truth be told...

dunno if they had new writers this year. .complete fail on all fronts, from the actual cases not having much substance or depth to them to the wandering off into the world of utter fantasy

Doubt I'll be watching the next series, if there is one .. huge disappointment this time

Mount Olympus *Olly*

I get to be in smug mode at home cos I said it was the old girl! It was the red hat that did it...red always highlights a clue in Whitechapel and/or points you in direction of bad guy...plus she was always loitering...loiterers make me suspiscious!!!

But as I wasn't as smart as Olly and didn't put my thoughts down...no one but my family knows what a genius I am!!!!! I have the whole lot of them on sky+ so can enjoy the delights of Rupert at my leisure...I also adore Miles and the seemingly ever-pregnant autopsy lady!

This series has been a bit weirder and darker than the others and I'm not sure I loved it as much...it seemed to have lost it's flow a bit and was quite disjointed...still going to watch it several times again though!!! I often spot things I missed first time round that way!!

now talking of body and faces that match, give me Josh Holloway any time. .  please. . I mean please.., really..., somebody give me Josh Holloway..

I get what you mean about the naughty boy twinkle, but I'm happy to have Rupert as my bit of posh.

Josh Holloway is rather nice, I can see why you'd want him.
