I'm happy with those, espech Kirsty

I know almost nothing about Soaps.

On the odd occasion i have seen EE i find it horribly depressing.

It's a terrible example to set to kids (and i'm assuming plenty of kids watch it as part of their everyday staple diet).

Me too, although I do quite like Poppy.

Also leaving are Alice Branning, Sam James and Ava Hartman. Michael Moon's and Jack Branning's departures were announced some time ago.

I bet we will have some more Brannings arriving soon  glad to see the back of Alice

Sam is Ava's boyfriend. Their departure is to do with the ongoing kidney transplany storyline.

The extended families are so implausible and tenuous now maybe David Mitchell should join the cast and star as himself as the upper middle class, foil to Phil Mitchell.

Doubt i've watched Eastenders in almost a decade. In fact Bradley's dad was just coming into the show when i stopped watching. I quite liked Bradley and the feisty girl (whose name escapes me)with the mentally ill mother that he was dating.

I'll miss Poppy and Alice. I think AJ and Ava haven't been developed fully, and have a lot more potential. Jack possibly has some more potential but Scott Maslen isn't exactly the best actor in the show. Michael Moon outstayed his welcome ages ago. I always thought that Kirsty, Sam and especially Carl were only intended to be short-term characters anyway.

I gave up watching EE a year ago, so I don't know who half of these soon-to-be axed cast members are.

Certainly won't miss most of who's leaving, especially Sam, his acting is so cheesy. I like Poppy's character, she's the only lighthearted one in it. Jean and Michael are my two faves, one's left and the other is leaving, can't say I blame them though, they're too good for EE...would be great if they both moved over to Corrie

such a depressing show - I dip in and out but am bored with it as no one is ever happy - there's never any humour to the show

Things don't seem to be looking good for EE, they need to get rid of a lot more of them than just those that are in the background, I used to like Kat and Alfie but even they get on my nerves now and the storylines are ridiculous like why would Denise suddenly like Ian when she hated the way he treated Jane  and Phil is getting on a bit to be the hard man, he's panting for breath if he has to run a few yards, as for David Wicks coming back 

I can't remember where it was but a read a TV critic's review where it was speculated why Ian Beale, Max Branning and Phil Mitchell (all irredeemably flawed characters and let's face it, hardly lookers) seem to be irresistible to women in EE.  It wouldn't happen in real life - would it!   A bit like boring Ken Barlow being the super stud, ultimate catch in Coronation Street for all those years.

I will stick with emmerdale (best soap anyway)
