Pregnant CrossFitter shares photo and the Internet loses its mind

Now at first glance this pics made me Then i read the part of this story

Take Amber Miller, for example. She ran the Chicago marathon while nearly 39 weeks pregnant in 2011 -- and delivered her daughter just a few hours after crossing the finish line. Like Ellison, Miller was an experienced fitness devotee: It was not her first marathon (it wasn't even her first marathon while pregnant, according to ABC News)

I can see why they have got so many negative comments. Is it really safe? I very much doubt the Marathon at 39 wks was!

Weight lifting when pregnant is insane.  But only if unassisted.  I weight lift solo mostly with a machine but sometimes with free weights and when using free weights  I'm always conscious that I might slip and cause a bad injury.  It's a small risk but a risk none the less.  The potential risk to a baby is obvious.  Looking at the weights in that picture, those are big weights and a small slip could be fatal to her child.  My initial thoughts are that she's a moron but the picture may just be for show.  It depends on how much assistance she has when weight lifting if it is a danger to her child.  The assistance can never be 100% so it looks to me like a risk that isn't worth taking.
